It has been a while since I last posted but it seems that I am back to social media. I'm mostly active on Instagram, but now it is time to get back to work here on Blogger (I might be preparing a surprise or two).
Today's post is a recipe that I love to make whenever I am out of bread (sometimes I forget things haha!) and I'm too tired and don't really want to wait for the whole process of leavening.
You won't believe it - I didn't believe it at first and everytime I make this recipe I am truly amazed at the results and how foolproof it is!
It is a very versatile recipe - You can use plain flour, wholegrain, or a mix of flours! Try it with spelt - it is amazing!
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
The Easiest Bread
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup greek yoghurt (or regular plain yoghurt)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200 ºC.
- In a bowl mix flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add the yogurt and mix with a spoon until everything is well combined. No need to knead (but you can, lightly). If the dough is too sticky, add some more flour; if it is too dry, add some more yogurt or a bit of water.
- Form a ball, place it on a baking tray, lined with parchment paper. Bake for 30 mins or until a toothpick comes out dry.
